2. Please describe your motivation and goals in becoming a JMU Integrative Design Fellow

3. Please describe your experience with 3D design and printing. Please note that no experience is required for participation in this fellowship.

4. Please describe the type of course you think you might want to develop to teach in the JMU 3SPACE 3D printing classroom.

5. Course Design Institute: the JMU Integrative Technology Fellows course design institute is a professional development program for faculty to learn about the design and implementation of curriculum to teach in the JMU 3SPACE 3D Printing Classroom through the expertise of instructional design faculty and the networked wisdom of JMU faculty with experience teaching in JMU 3SPACE.

I agree to participate in the Course Design program in Fall 2019 for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks, schedule to be determined.

6. Construct3D Conference: This conference on academic 3D printing brings together faculty in Higher Education, K-12 and Makerspaces to share their expertise in using 3D printing in their classrooms and scholarship.

I agree to attend the Construct3D conference (likely at Rice University in Feb 2020)

7. Teaching a course in 3SPACE: The main objective of the IDT Fellows program is to make it possible for more faculty to teach in the JMU 3SPACE classroom. We have support from the General Education program to help faculty teach 300-level gened pilot courses in 3SPACE and we also welcome any other courses faculty may want to teach.

I agree to teach one 300-level pilot course (or possibly some other course) in 3SPACE in Spring 2020 or Fall 2020

8. Presenting at the JMU 3D Printing conference: We plan to host a regional Higher Education 3D Printing conference in late Spring 2020, focused on sharing curriculum development for 3D printing spaces. We would like all IDT Fellows to present their own 3D printing curriculum at this conference.

I agree to present on my integrative design technology curriculum development at the upcoming JMU 3D Printing conference.

9. Meeting with the IDT Fellows Group: Part of what will make this program successful is the formation of a community of educators who can support each other in this new technology. During Spring 2020 we will host occasional meetings for the IDT fellows to chat.

I agree to meeting with the IDT Fellows group at various times in Spring 2020.

10. Mentoring JMU IDT Fellows: The 3D printing community is one of openness and collaboration; in this spirit, at the completion of your fellowship we hope that you will be willing to mentor the next chapter of IDT fellows.

I agree to mentoring one or two JMU IDT Fellows in the following year at the completion of my course.
