JMU Community, Partners, and Friends:

This survey aims to gather data to inform JMU leadership about the university's current strengths and weaknesses, as well as the opportunities and threats the university may face over the next five to seven years.

The initial questions will identify your general connection(s) to JMU. Most of the survey will ask for your feedback on statements about JMU's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, developed from feedback gathered from numerous JMU leadership and advisory groups. A few optional demographic questions will be shown at the end of the survey.

Other than a few required questions at the beginning, you can choose which questions to answer and can stop at any time. Your responses will be anonymous, though there are optional open-ended questions. You must submit the survey for your responses to count.

To keep the survey brief, you'll be randomly assigned a set of items, but you will have the option to answer all items if you wish. Thus, the survey could take anywhere from 10-20 minutes depending on how much of the survey you wish to complete. Additional instructions will be provided as you proceed.

If you have questions about the survey or the SWOT process, please contact Dr. Chris Orem (oremcd@jmu.edu)
